Harvey Nash and The University of Hong Kong Business School (HKU) are once again teaming up again to provide support to board ready women. The organisations have noted that an often touted reason for the lack of women at the top tier of business is that there just aren't enough qualified female candidates. According to a 2016 survey, male directors, especially older respondents, report a "lack of qualified female candidates" as the key reason that the number of women on boards isn't increasing. While women directors cite most often the fact that diversity is not a priority in board recruiting and that traditional networks tend to be male-dominated.
